WWII Triple Ace - TEST PILOT - VIETNAM VETERAN

On May 17, 2024 we lost a Great American.  Bud will be remembered in history as a World War II triple ace, test pilot and a career military pilot who served with distinction.  To the Warbird community he is remembered as our friend.  The annual visit to Oshkosh for “Airventure” was a highlight of the year for Bud.  He always took time to offer words of encouragement and or to sign his book, “To Fly and Fight,” or anything else that was presented before him…even a bar napkin.  His wonderful smile and the twinkle in his eye will be missed.
